About the Neighborhood
|
Roosevelt Annex, recently completed in the Midtown area, is a gated community of
16 single-family homes and 9 townhouses fronting the Gulf of Mexico on what was
the former Monroe County Fairgrounds along North Roosevelt Boulevard. Billed as
the last developable site in Key West with open water views, Roosevelt Annex was
constructed by the developer of Truman Annex and the
Key West Golf Club. The
architecture in all three developments is quite similar.
Within a few minute's walking distance, the Overseas Market provides restaurants, grocery stores, a post office, drug stores, a diner, a liquor store, and other establishments that make it easy for inhabitants of Roosevelt Annex to get everything they need to make their stay a comfortable one. A public transportation is conveniently available. Key West offers a four-line bus transit system that includes three nearby stops: in front of the Sam Goody at Overseas Market, directly across the boulevard from Roosevelt Annex, and a few minutes' walk toward Old town. |
Roosevelt Annex's aesthetic entrance off of N. Roosevelt Bvld. has a security gate that is opened by remote control, 4-digit PIN, or page. |
